Started studying computer graphics in 1997, with AutoCAD R13 and 3D Studio MAX. Along the way, also
studied International Relations at the University of Minho and Digital Arts and Multimedia at ESAD.
Received training and developed knowledge in Stereoscopy in Brazil and Germany, holography in London,
and continues to study Augmented Reality and Holographic Projection, interactivity, and mapping.
With Sketchpixel, has led projects in countries as diverse as Portugal, Spain, France, Monaco, Switzerland, Germany,
the USA, Brazil, Singapore, and Angola. Has worked for clients such as SAAB Aviation, Popota (Continente),
Continental Tires, Portuguese Society of Astronomy, SLM, Editions Albert-René (Asterix), Roche, Kaufman & Broad,
Ballantine`s, among many other international clients and brands. Currently, in addition to being the
CEO at Sketchpixel, has taught as a guest professor in the Master`s program in Digital Content Production
at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, is a member of the Advisory Committee of the School of Technology at
the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave, and a member of the Advisory Council for the elevation of the
city of Braga to UNESCO`s Creative City of Media Arts. Has already led R&D+I projects (PT2020 co-promotion - acronym "HTPDIR"),
and in this project, will have a fundamental role in coordinating the team and the project, as well as in developing models and
parameters for creating VR and MIX Reality worlds, whether in the modeling, texturing, or physics of the models.
With a background in Industrial design, it was in education where the professional career began.
During that period, started a painting course, where acquired many of the tools used today in the
artistic direction of the company. Participated in collective painting exhibitions and provided drawing
and painting training to adults. Later, received training in A Coruña, at a special effects makeup school,
where created the character that is currently Sketchpixel`s mascot. Passionate about the artistic fields,
painting, sculpture, and design. In this project, will be responsible for the entire visual identity, including
art direction, the appearance of 3D elements, render settings, etc., as well as coordinating all project
promotion and dissemination.
Ricardo Nuno Pereira Abreu has a degree in Geography and Planning from the University of Minho.
In 2010, he joined SKETCHPIXEL as a project manager. His interest and curiosity in Digital Arts led
him to embark on a new path, and since 2013, he has been dedicated exclusively to 3D. Adapting to new
software came almost naturally due to his previous experience in CAD and terrain and surface modeling
programs. Modeling, rendering, and lighting became his new words of work.
With a Master`s degree in Motorsport Engineering,
Manel is a key member of the team, maintaining and
improving the performance of our fleet.
PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico - University of
Lisbon. Associate Professor in the Departmental Unit of Information and Communication Technologies and
integrated member of the Smart Cities Research Center at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar. Her research area
focuses on Machine Learning and Computer Vision.
PhD in Informatics from the University of Lisbon, Master`s degree in Applied Artificial Intelligence
from Nova University of Lisbon, and Bachelor`s degree in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda.
Adjunct Professor in the Department of Information Technologies and Researcher at the Techn&Art research center (IPT),
and Collaborating Member of Ci2(IPT) and LASIGE(UL), where he conducts research in the areas of programming, evolutionary
algorithms, and educational technologies. In this project, he will contribute with the following skills: Algorithm development;
Artificial Intelligence; Machine Learning.
Specialist in Computer Science from the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar. Currently pursuing a Ph.D.
in Computer Science - Artificial Intelligence / Intelligent Agents / Affective Computing and holds a
degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon.
He also has a Post-Graduation in Financial Management from Business & Economics School - Instituto Superior
de Gestão. He has been an Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar since 2007, teaching Object-Oriented Programming,
Software Development Methodologies, Databases, and Project Planning and Management. With fifteen years of professional
experience in software development, he has held various positions such as Programmer, Project Manager, Information Systems
Planning Manager, and Development Director. He has been responsible for managing and developing several projects in outsourcing
and in-house, ranging from small-scale to medium-scale projects, with budgets of up to one million euros and involving multiple teams.
In the present project, he will contribute with the following competences: Algorithms; Artificial Intelligence; Affective Computing;
Autonomous Agents; Multi-Agent Systems.
Graduated in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico - University of Lisbon,
having completed the curricular component of the Master`s in Engineering and Management of Technology at the same
institution. In 2012, he defended his thesis to obtain the Specialist Degree in Computer Science, according
to Decree-Law no. 206-2009, D.R. no. 168, Series I of 2009-08-31, with changes in Decree-Law no. 7-2010,
D.R. no. 93, Series I of 2010-05-01. He has 23 years of experience in teaching in higher education, starting
at the Universidade Lusófona and for over 20 years at the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar, affiliated with the
Escola Superior de Tecnologia de Abrantes, where he was the director of the undergraduate course in Information
and Communication Technologies, Director of the Polytechnic Studies Center of Torres Novas, and member of the
Pedagogical Council on various occasions. He is currently a member of the Technical-Scientific Council and the
coordinator of the Higher Professional Course in Arts for Digital Games and, more recently, the Head of the
Department of Information and Communication Technologies. Over the years, he has coordinated dozens of end-of-course
projects in the area of information systems, digital games, and augmented reality systems. Along with his academic functions,
he is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of a multinational company that develops information systems, which in recent
years has been entering the entertainment sector through the creation of various digital games and short animated films.
Carlos Mora also conducts research in distributed database systems, text and image recognition systems, and procedural
generation of game scenarios.
PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Coimbra. Bachelor`s degree in Mathematics
(Scientific Branch) from the University of Coimbra. Associate Professor at the Department of
Mathematics and Physics of IP Tomar. Integrated member of Ci2.ipt (Center for Research in Smart
Cities of IPT), having coordinated the creation process of this Center. External collaborator of
the Institute of Telecommunications. Conducts research in the areas of Mathematical Models and Computer
Graphics and Interactive Systems involving Computer Graphics and Augmented Reality, with publications in
these areas. Director of the School of Technology of Tomar of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar.
In this project, he will contribute with the following competences: Machine Learning and Artificial
Intelligence Models and Algorithms; Augmented Reality; Interaction and Gamification. Coordination of
this project with the internal organization of IPT.
PhD in Mathematics (specialization in Applied Mathematics) from the University of Coimbra, Master`s
degree in Statistics and Operations Research from the University of Lisbon, and Bachelor`s degree in
Mathematics (scientific branch) from the University of Coimbra. With over 30 years of teaching experience,
he is currently a Coordinator Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar in the area of Mathematics,
particularly in the disciplinary areas of Mathematical Analysis, Numerical Analysis, and Operations Research.
He is the President of the Evaluation and Coordination Council for Teaching Staff at the Polytechnic Institute
of Tomar and the President of the Technical-Scientific Council of the School of Technology of Tomar.
He was also the Director of the School of Technology of Tomar. He is an integrated member of the
Institute of Telecommunications, where he is the Head of the Applied Mathematics Research Group
at the Coimbra Campus. He carries out research in the areas of Complementarity, Linear, Nonlinear,
and Global Optimization. In this project, he will contribute with the following skills: Models and
Algorithms for solving global optimization problems (linear, quadratic, complementarity, two-level problems).
PhD in Mathematics from the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Algarve, Master`s
degree in Mathematics from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, and Bachelor`s
degree in Mathematics from the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra.
With 30 years of experience in higher education teaching, she is currently a Coordinator Professor
at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, responsible for teaching courses in Mathematical Analysis and
Calculus to undergraduate programs in Mechanical Engineering and in Computer Science and Multimedia
Technologies. She has also been responsible for teaching courses in various areas of Mathematics,
such as Statistics, Linear Algebra and Analytic Geometry, to Engineering and Management programs.
For 10 years, she was the Director of the Interdepartmental Unit of Mathematics at the School of
Technology of Abrantes. She conducts research in the area of Mathematics Education, and is a member
of the Center for Teaching and Development of Mathematics in Higher Education at the University of
Algarve, where she has developed works that require the application of content from various areas of
Mathematics. In this project, she will contribute with the following skills: Mathematical Modeling,
Data Analysis, and Linear Programming.
Master`s degree in Operations Research from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon and a
Bachelor`s degree in Mathematics - Operations Research Branch from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology
of the University of Coimbra. Completed the coursework for a Ph.D. in Mathematics and Applications at the
University of Évora. With over 20 years of teaching experience in higher education. Currently an
Assistant Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, teaching in all three schools of this
institution. Previously taught at the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda for three years. Has taught
various courses, such as Algorithms, Logic and Computation, Mathematical Analysis, Probability
and Statistics, Linear Algebra, and Geometry. Has worked in the area of heuristics applied to
discrete mathematics problems, with practical applications in the field of telecommunications
networks or others. Recently, the focus has been on developing decision tools for discrete variable
models in multi-criteria problems. With a background in Applied Mathematics, including Statistical
Analysis, Decision Trees, Neural Networks, Genetic Algorithms, among others, this professional can
contribute to the design and analysis of models and algorithms in the areas of Machine Learning, Deep
Learning, and Reinforcement Learning.

“out-of-the-series” researcher at INESC TEC. Has more than 10 years of research experience
in the areas of information retrieval and natural language processing, during which time
received several awards [Best short paper award at the 40th International Conference on Information
Retrieval (ECIR´18); Winner of the 2018 Arquivo.pt Awards; Best Demo Presentation Award at the 41st
International Conference on Information Retrieval (ECIR´19); Recognized Reviewer Awar at ECIR´19;
Outstanding reviewer at NAACL-HTL´19] Co-organized international conferences and workshops in the area
in information research, and is a regular member of the scientific committee of several conferences
international. He is also a member of the editorial board of the Information Processing and Management Journal.

Ana Jacinta Soares is an Integrated Member of the Mathematics Centre, University of Minho,
and an Associate Professor in the Mathematics Department at the University of Minho.
She earned her PhD in Mathematics from the University of Coimbra in 1997. Her research
area focuses on the kinetic theory of reactive mixtures, transport equations, PDE analysis,
hydrodynamic limits, and modeling in Biomathematics and Landscape Ecology. She has supervised
3 doctoral theses and 10 master`s dissertations. She has participated in several research
projects and has a particular interest in industrial mathematics and knowledge transfer of
mathematics to industry. She is currently a member of the Board of the Portuguese Network
of Mathematics for Industry and Innovation.
Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Minho and member of
CMAT - Mathematics Center of the University of Minho, where she conducts research in the area
of differential equations, with a particular interest in problems of solid and biological mechanics
using asymptotic theory, dynamic systems theory, and optimal control theory.
Junior Researcher at the Department of Mathematics and member of CMAT - Mathematics Center of
the University of Minho. His research area focuses on numerical analysis of differential
equations and mathematical modeling, and his scientific interests include applied mechanics,
elasticity theory, and computational mechanics, in which he has supervised several dissertations and projects.
BSc, MSc PhD in Mathematics, is an Integrated Member of the Mathematics Centre, University of Minho, and
Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics, University of Minho. Your areas of interest
scientific studies focus on matrix theory and its applications in cryptography, theory of
coding, quantum and post-quantum technologies, and machine learning, having guided dissertations
master`s and doctoral degrees in these areas.
Associate Professor at the Mathematics Department and member of CMAT - Mathematics Center of
University of Minho. His research area focuses on the theory of dynamical systems with
applications in areas such as robotics, cognitive neuroscience and artificial intelligence. He has
extensive experience in mentoring PhD students in applied mathematics and robotics and
as IP in European and national interdisciplinary projects.
With an academic background in engineering, Emilio Lozano Lozano has more than 20 years of
experience in the automotive industry. During his professional career, he was an engineer for
racing and GP2 performance engineer in the F2 and Euro F3 Open championships. currently plays
functions as a senior race car engineer and is responsible for project management, in
GT championship. He has extensive experience in data analysis, with a focus on performance and
car driving, as well as lap time simulation and car dynamics. Likewise, it is
specialist in suspension and chassis design and in various automotive performance tests. AND
expert user of multiple design and simulation software such as Wintax, Racesim,
Optimum k, Pi toolbox, AIM, Bosch, Motec, Autocad, Office and Solid Works.
Master in Mechanical Engineering from Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenierías industriales de
Valladolid, develops and implements new artificial vision solutions for application in industry.
Worked at etecmo as responsible for analysis of control systems and vehicle dynamics
of racing. Its area of expertise is centered on computer-assisted design and production (CAD) with
CATIA V5 and development and production of micro robots. He is an advanced programmer in the language of
C and Java programming. In the same way, he has a vast knowledge in the use of different databases.
